The remake for Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time currently in development at Ubisoft won't equal shown at the publisher's E3 2021 showcase.

"As you might have guessed, Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Make over will non be in Ubisoft Forward," the remaking's development team said in a tweet. "We are making bully progress for our game to release next twelvemonth, but we are not ready to share whatsoever additional information right yet. We will share an update atomic number 3 soon as we are ready."

The Ubisoft E3 2021 lineup was revealed sporting last week, and the Sands of Time remake was conspicuously absent. The last sentence we actually byword the game was its September 2020 reveal, which sparked a bit of pushback all but its new artwork style (which, the developers said at the time, was deliberate and non a product of growth woes).

The remake was postponed to March 2021 not long after, and back in February, it was held up in one case again, this time without a new release date in mind. The news that it's skipping E3 has also brought affirmation that the remake won't personify out until sometime in 2022.

With the E3 2021 schedule still feeling precise scattershot, publishers have been more expeditious about setting expectations for what will and North Korean won't be at their shows, and while we would've loved to view the Prince of Persian Empire remake in action over again, it's nice to have the record straight on what Ubisoft's bringing. Better to rakehell the bandage off in combined survive than drag it impossible, you know?

Besides, the Ubisoft E3 2021 show still looks evenhandedly stacked. Far Cry 6 and Rainbow Six Origin (at one time known as Rainbow Six Quarantine) have been confirmed, and among the surprises, we'Ra expecting to hear more about the future of The Division 2 plus the series' future F2P spinoff The Air division: Heartland, and perhaps some unprecedented IP as well.

Every bit our possess Josh West writes, Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time erstwhile defined a genre we've come to know and lovemaking, and it deserves a full-roly-poly remake. Last year, game director Pierre Sylvain-Gires walked us through Ubisoft's vision for the classic's return.

They've yet to realize that his position atomic number 3 a staff writer is just a cover for his vocation-spanning Destiny column, and atomic number 2's kept the ruse going with a revolve around news and the irregular feature.
